Meet The Faces Behind Phase II Auto Detailing

I’m Norman Douglas, and along with my wife, Diane, are the proud owners of Phase II Auto Detailing.

I look forward to sharing our story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know us better.

I ran an electrical business in my home country of Jamaica for ten years before emigrating to Canada in 1988.

When I first arrived, I saw many dirty cars on the road, which convinced me to set up an auto wash service. I began my business in Toronto in 1990 by renting a one-bay garage at Queen Street and Greenwood, carrying out interior shampooing for forty dollars per car.

Thirty-two years later, I’m still going strong thanks to the wonderful support of Diane, who’s helped me expand into car detailing. I love removing scratches and taking out swirl marks from automobiles and I especially like working on black vehicles.

From the start, I’ve been committed to working with honesty, and I believe what sets the enterprise apart from others is our friendly customer service. I also attribute our success to going the extra mile to exceed the clients’ expectations.

Therefore, witnessing the happy smiles on customers’ faces after they pick up their cars is rewarding. It motivates us to strive higher in all our endeavours.

Looking back on how far we have come over the past three decades fills us with immense satisfaction. It would not have been possible without the power of Jesus Christ in our lives, so we read the bible daily to give thanks and to seek inspiration.

When we’re not making cars shimmer and shine, I love to research detailing tools and products, to stay in tune with new technology, while Diane likes to cook and bake. 

I have enjoyed sharing our story about the things which matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
