While a lot of automotive systems have seen almost exponential advances in technology, build quality, and reliability over the years, sadly batteries have not. To be honest, lead-acid vehicle batteries have improved somewhat in terms of their lifespans, just not at the same rate as other components and systems. That’s why, if your battery is more than four years old, seasonal testing is a good idea.
